She furthered her studies with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University Engineering College, Kota.

Anjali’s entrepreneurial path began with a clear vision: to empower women to sell from home and to adapt traditional art forms to modern demands.
Initially a successful engineer, Anjali’s love for Kota Doria inspired her to venture into business. After achieving notable success in the corporate world, she sought a deeper, more fulfilling pursuit.
In 2014, Anjali took a decisive step by investing Rs. 25,000 to create a Facebook page dedicated to Kota Doria.
What started as a modest home-based project rapidly grew. Within a year, the increasing demand led to the launch of a full-fledged e-commerce website for KotaDoriaSilk.
Anjali faced numerous challenges, particularly as a woman in the entrepreneurial sphere.
Yet, her determination and resilience allowed her to overcome societal pressures and become a beacon of hope for many aspiring women entrepreneurs.

She immersed herself in learning the intricate details of weaving, which enabled her to train and align weavers with KotaDoriaSilk’s specific business needs.

KotaDoriaSilk has significantly impacted the lives of artisans and women.
The startup provided a steady source of income for weavers and craftsmen, supporting their families with secure financial independence.
The KDS family grew from a few artisans to 72, maintaining an equal ratio of female and male craftsmen. Currently, over 25 looms are dedicated exclusively to KotaDoriaSilk.
The startup also played a crucial role during the pandemic by donating nearly 25,000 triple-layered cotton masks to NGOs.
Additionally, masks were included with each order, demonstrating Anjali’s commitment to community support.
Through KotaDoriaSilk, Anjali Agrawal has empowered numerous women, many of whom were previously outside the corporate workforce or had dropped out.
By becoming resellers, these women have regained their self-esteem and found purpose.
KotaDoriaSilk’s network of resellers has enabled the brand to reach customers across India with ease, further amplifying its impact.
