Bhavish Aggarwal, the founder and CEO of Ola Electric, has announced exciting new plans for the company with the launch of its latest initiative, Hypern Service.
As Ola continues to lead the charge in electric vehicles (EVs), this move aims to enhance the ownership experience for customers across India, making it easier and more convenient to service and maintain their EVs.
Ola Electric’s Journey So Far
Over the last three years, Ola Electric has grown into a major player in the EV space, with over 7 lakh customers nationwide.
The company has built a strong market presence with nearly 800 stores and 500 service centers.
States like Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, where EV adoption is picking up speed, are leading the way.
With India pushing towards an electric future, states such as Gujarat, Delhi, and Telangana have seen significant growth in EV usage thanks to favorable government policies.
Ola Electric’s Hyper Service is expected to further accelerate this trend, bringing better service access to customers in these regions.
What is Hyper Service?
Bhavish Aggarwal explained that while Ola has achieved a lot, they are committed to improving the customer experience even further.
“We’re doubling our service centers to 1,000 by the end of this year to make sure our customers can get top-class service, no matter where they are, especially in smaller cities and rural areas,” said Bhavish.
Expanding to Tier-2 and Tier-3 Cities
While Ola already has a strong presence in big cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, it now aims to expand in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
States like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan, where demand for EVs is growing, will benefit from the extended service network.
Customers in these smaller towns will no longer have to travel far for vehicle maintenance.

Training 1 Lakh Mechanics for EVs
A key part of Hyper Service is Ola’s plan to train 1,00,000 third-party mechanics.
This training will ensure that mechanics across the country, including in rural areas, have the skills needed to service electric vehicles.
By December 2025, Ola hopes to have trained mechanics in every corner of India, making EV ownership more practical and accessible for everyone.
This is especially important for states like Bihar, West Bengal, and Odisha, where access to trained EV mechanics has been limited so far.
Faster Service and AI-Powered Maintenance
Under the new Quick Service Guarantee, Ola promises to resolve any service issue within just one day.
If there is a delay, customers will receive a backup Ola S1 scooter, and those with Ola Care+ will also get free Ola Cabs coupons until their vehicle is fixed.
Ola Electric is also introducing AI-powered proactive maintenance, which will be available from October 2024 with the MoveOS 5 update.
This smart technology will be able to detect potential issues before they even arise, providing remote diagnostics and offering doorstep repairs.
This feature will be especially helpful in places like Kerala and Goa, where challenging weather conditions can sometimes impact vehicle performance.
Supporting India’s EV Future
Ola’s new Hyper Service initiative supports the larger goal of boosting electric mobility across India.
Many states, including Maharashtra, Delhi, and Gujarat, have set ambitious targets to increase the number of EVs on the road by 2025.
Ola’s focus on improving service and training mechanics will make it easier for people to switch to electric vehicles, knowing they can count on reliable service no matter where they are.
With its commitment to both expanding its service network and equipping mechanics with EV knowledge, Ola Electric is making sure that electric vehicles are not only for big cities but also for smaller towns and rural areas.
