Kerala, India – iHub Robotics, a humanoid robotics startup, has raised ₹4.3 crore ($520K) in pre-seed funding from U.S. investors.
The company plans to use this funding to build India’s largest humanoid robotics manufacturing facility in Kerala, aiming to make India a leader in robotics and AI.
Expanding Robotics in India
iHub Robotics has already made a mark internationally by exporting its semi-humanoid robot, Tara Gen-1, to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Tara Gen-1 is one of India’s most advanced semi-humanoid robots, designed to work in places like hotels, hospitals, airports, and railway stations.
It helps businesses improve their services with smart automation.
Recognition by NVIDIA
In January 2025, iHub Robotics became the first Indian company to be recognized by NVIDIA.
Being part of the NVIDIA Humanoid Robotics Program will give iHub Robotics access to advanced AI technology, research, and networking opportunities.
Creating Jobs and Building Skills
The new facility is expected to create over 150 jobs in the next two years, supporting India’s tech ecosystem.
The company also launched the iHub School of Learning to train students in AI and robotics, with the goal of educating 100,000 students in deep-tech skills.
