Utsav, a fast-growing spiritual tech startup, has successfully raised ₹6.35 crore in a funding round led by Equanimity Investments, with participation from India Quotient.
The investment, announced on January 31, 2025, will help the startup expand its operations in India and internationally, improve technology, and hire more talent.
What is Utsav?
Founded in 2021 by Ankita De, Sourajit Basu, and Prajata Samanta, Utsav is a digital platform that connects devotees with religious services online. The platform allows users to:

Future Plans
Utsav is also focusing on serving Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) who wish to stay connected to their religious traditions from abroad.
In addition, the startup plans to launch an e-commerce section offering:
- Jyotirlingas
- Rudraksha malas
- Yantras from famous temples
This move will create a comprehensive online spiritual ecosystem, making religious products and services easily accessible.
Growing Demand for Spiritual Tech in India
The Indian spiritual and devotional tech market has seen rapid growth, especially with events like the Maha Kumbh Mela increasing religious engagement.
With more people seeking online puja services and temple offerings, Utsav is well-positioned to tap into this rising demand.

The startup is bringing tradition and technology together, making religious services more accessible for devotees across India and beyond.
